Carrie Underwood’s Powerful “Just a Dream”

Set in what looks like the 1960s, Carrie Underwood sits with her military love in an old style Cadillac, both trying not to talk about the inevitability of him leaving for war. As she imagines what it would be like to walk down the aisle to marry her sweetheart, Underwood’s beautiful smile and white dress effortlessly transform into a black mourning dress and tears that quickly wash away her smile. As her surroundings gracefully change from a moment of joy to one of dread, video director Roman White paints an exquisite picture of a dream turned nightmare.
